Welcoming Ramona Angelescu Naqvi to AMEA

Welcome to the AMEA team Ramona

We are delighted to announce that Ramona Angelescu Naqvi has joined AMEA as Strategic Learning Manager.

Ramona brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across the international development sector, spanning programs, strategic partnerships, communications, and operations. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer of the World Agriculture Forum. Before that, she spent nearly two decades at the Global Development Network (GDN), progressing from Senior Political Scientist to Director of Strategic Partnerships – leading the organization’s partnerships, external relations, high-level convenings, and resource mobilization functions.

Ramona also co-founded The Blue Renaissance, an organic agri-business in Transylvania, giving her firsthand experience in agricultural enterprise development.

She joins AMEA as the network celebrates its 10th anniversary and embarks on a new growth strategy – a moment that calls for exactly the kind of evidence-based, partnership-driven leadership she brings.

Ramona Shares:

"I am delighted to join AMEA at such an exciting moment in its journey. As the organization celebrates its 10th anniversary and embarks on a new growth strategy, I look forward to contributing to a culture of learning that helps us better understand what works, for whom, and under what conditions in supporting agri-SMEs and farmer organizations. By generating, sharing, and applying evidence across our network, we can strengthen the effectiveness of our collective efforts to improve farmers' incomes and livelihoods while contributing to more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable food systems and professional organizations and standards all along the value chain. I am excited to learn from AMEA's members and partners and to help translate those insights into greater impact at scale."
